Conversational Lesson Plan
Conversational Lesson Plan
Stage 1
1) Introduction to Course and Assessment
2) Basic practice of elementary Spanish (possible practice dialogue)
3) Introduction to practice dialogues and pronunciation emphasis
4) Introduction to Spanish Literature (Excerpt from text), practice dialogue
This curriculum is designed for students with a prior knowledge of Spanish, (meaning they are able to understand Spanish when it is spoken to them, at least at an intermediate level) whom wish to expand their vocabulary and become fluent speakers. These lessons are mixture of Latin American literature, Placitas (chats), articles of interest from Latin America, and an introduction to Latin American life (books, travel, customs etc.) all created to expand your conversational skills and your knowledge of the culture. There will also be an emphasis on practice dialogues (which I will provide and tailor to your level of comprehension).
Materials such as worksheets, reading materials, other items needed for our lessons will be provided you. I may suggest other reading materials but you are under no obligation to purchase these items for our lessons.
Pronunciation is a large part of conversational Spanish lessons; exercises such as trabalenguas (tongue twisters) are used to help us perfect our accents.
*This outline of the lessons is tentative, as it is subject to change based on how you best learn and your interests as well.
